The Opportunity

Global Village Concerns, Inc. (www.globalvillageconcerns.com) is looking for a dynamic and experienced marketing manager. Based in San Diego, CA, Global Village Concerns (“GVC”) is a branding and marketing Services Company that helps high schools become self-sufficient in their ability to raise capital on a continuous basis with zero costs to the school.

General Purpose

To develop, establish and maintain marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives. Effective management of the marketing, advertising and promotional activities of the organization.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities
Works with writers and artists and oversees copywriting, design, layout, and production of promotional materials.
Responsible for SEO, SEM and online advertising for all marketing related activities
Serves as lead in execution of company Social Media strategy
Manages the strategy, development and execution of email campaigns
Coordinates message, asset and activity planning and execution throughout the purchase funnel
Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects
Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results
Determine and manage the marketing budget
Deliver marketing activity within agreed budget

Education and Experience

5-7 years Marketing experience in B2C E-commerce (preferably apparel, consumer goods or sports marketing)
Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
Experience in all aspects of developing, executing and maintaining marketing strategies with an emphasis in B2C online marketing, SEO/SEM and social media
PR experience is a plus
Experience managing in-house design teams and agencies/vendors a plus
